You bet. Just so you know, that is a shotgun shell, the plastic gives it away. Only shotgun shells look like that (and a .410 pistol shell, but that is getting too techical). I can tell it’s a 12 gauge because the 20 gauge is quite a bit smaller in diameter.

Thanks for this information. With a permit, landowners can own various guns.Competitive sportspeople (gun club members) with a special licence can own a gun. The rest of us generally should not have a gun. Of course there is a black market trade and we have riff raff particularly in our two big of Sydney and Melbourne who not only have guns but use them for criminal activities. Apart from in museums, and in a shady arcade when I was holidaying in Moscow, I have never seen a gun at close quarters.

Of course this is something most Australians cannot understand, and never want to be the situation here n this country. We understand your Constitution set up the situation for massive personal gun ownership in the beginning not realising how too many people can’t be trusted to value life. Most of us here in Australia will make sure that, come the day when we become a Republic, we have no such open provision in our Constitution.

You say tomato… Funny how many people like to criticize and the manner in which they choose to do so when they have no idea what they’re talking about because all they know of it is what they’ve heard in the news which is set up to keep them exactly in the position you’re in.

Equally funny is how Switzerland, which had vastly more lenient gun control that the USA, evades the visceral reponse.

                I say tomato.

To each their own. I respect your right to be shot just as I appreciate mine to shoot back. It’s all good. Thanks.

All I know is what I see, and what I see I don’t like – when it comes to guns. If my fate is to be shot, then so be it. I am not going to shoot back. I guess it is just the way I have been conditioned. It’s a funny old world!

And that was my only point, you’ve been conditioned to see things a certain way. Licensed firearm owners, and even more so, those licensed to carry a concealed weapon, commit crimes in this country at a rate less than half of the National average. We are the most fair-minded, level-headed group of people in the land. Nobody knows this because you are made to see things from a certain perspective, that we are all a bunch of gun slingin’, out of control cowboys. It’s simply not that way at all.

It is a neat world, that’s for sure. Nice back and forth. I didn’t mean for it to get carried away like that. 😉
